# LambLock vs Focus Timer

The clearest difference is ads: Focus Timer at none against LambLock's shown. LambLock's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LambLock sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Focus Timer sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LambLock holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 11 and 17 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of LambLock's written reviews are positive against 80% of Focus Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LambLock ships an update weekly, Focus Timer fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
