# Pathmap vs SkyWatch

The clearest difference is update cadence: SkyWatch at weekly against Pathmap's every 3 months. Pathmap's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pathmap sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and SkyWatch sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pathmap ships an update every 3 months, SkyWatch weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
