# MiddleSchoolSciencePrep vs ScanNow

The clearest difference is rating: MiddleSchoolSciencePrep at 5.0 against ScanNow's 3.7. MiddleSchoolSciencePrep also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). ScanNow's advantage is review sentiment (70% vs 33%) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MiddleSchoolSciencePrep holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of MiddleSchoolSciencePrep's written reviews are positive against 70% of ScanNow's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MiddleSchoolSciencePrep ships an update every 5 weeks, ScanNow monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
