# BlockBande vs MoodTasks

The clearest difference is update cadence: MoodTasks at every 4 days against BlockBande's every 2 weeks. BlockBande's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BlockBande sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and MoodTasks sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BlockBande ships an update every 2 weeks, MoodTasks every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
