# BWN vs Slim by Emmie

The clearest difference is update cadence: Slim by Emmie at every 9 months against BWN's every 32 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BWN sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Slim by Emmie sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BWN ships an update every 32 months, Slim by Emmie every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
