# Transcribe Now vs HookForge

The clearest difference is rating: HookForge at 5.0 against Transcribe Now's 4.4. Transcribe Now's advantage is ratings volume (74 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Transcribe Now sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and HookForge sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HookForge holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Transcribe Now has 74 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
