# Shape Rhythm vs Funky Maker

The clearest difference is update cadence: Funky Maker at weekly against Shape Rhythm's every 7 months. Funky Maker also leads on review sentiment (66% vs 48%) and chart position (#101 vs unranked). Shape Rhythm's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 3.8) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shape Rhythm sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Funky Maker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shape Rhythm holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 195 and 72 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Shape Rhythm's written reviews are positive against 66% of Funky Maker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Shape Rhythm ships an update every 7 months, Funky Maker weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
