# Home Security vs Masjids

The clearest difference is rating: Masjids at 5.0 against Home Security's 3.9. Masjids also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 9 months). Home Security's advantage is ratings volume (2.2K vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Home Security sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Masjids asks for nothing beyond the download.

Masjids holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Home Security has 2.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Home Security ships an update every 9 months, Masjids every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
