# 7Short vs POPStory

The clearest difference is ads: 7Short at none against POPStory's shown. 7Short also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). POPStory's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 7Short sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and POPStory sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for 7Short against 5.0 for POPStory. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 1 respectively.

7Short ships an update every 5 months, POPStory every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
