# Video Player vs Video Player

The clearest difference is rating: Video Player at 3.8 against Video Player's 1.0. Video Player also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). Video Player's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Video Player sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Video Player sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.59 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Video Player holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Video Player has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Video Player ships an update every 2 weeks, Video Player every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
