# PG Scout vs Diamond

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PG Scout at none against Diamond's 10. PG Scout also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Diamond's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 1). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Diamond sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. PG Scout asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for PG Scout against 4.9 for Diamond. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Diamond has 1.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PG Scout ships an update every 5 months, Diamond every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
