# HyNote vs Echo Focus

The clearest difference is rating: HyNote at 4.8 against Echo Focus's 3.0. HyNote also leads on review sentiment (77% vs 50%) and ratings volume (7.6K vs 2). Echo Focus's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HyNote sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Echo Focus sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HyNote holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HyNote has 7.6K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 77% of HyNote's written reviews are positive against 50% of Echo Focus's.

HyNote ships an update weekly, Echo Focus every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
