# HyNote vs Dragon Notes

The clearest difference is ratings volume: HyNote at 7.7K against Dragon Notes's 5. HyNote also leads on chart position (#113 vs unranked) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Dragon Notes's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 77%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HyNote sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Dragon Notes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dragon Notes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HyNote has 7.7K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 77% of HyNote's written reviews are positive against 100% of Dragon Notes's.

HyNote ships an update weekly, Dragon Notes every 6 days. Both last shipped on November 7, 2026.
