# HyNote vs Luxwend

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Luxwend at none against HyNote's 14. Luxwend also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 77%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). HyNote's advantage is ratings volume (7.7K vs 2) and chart position (#130 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HyNote sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Luxwend asks for nothing beyond the download.

Luxwend holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HyNote has 7.7K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 77% of HyNote's written reviews are positive against 100% of Luxwend's.

HyNote ships an update weekly, Luxwend fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
