# Fasting Tracker vs StepCat

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Fasting Tracker at 9.1K against StepCat's 4. Fasting Tracker also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fasting Tracker sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and StepCat sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fasting Tracker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fasting Tracker has 9.1K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Fasting Tracker ships an update every 3 days, StepCat every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
