# Tee Time Snipe vs Open Course

The clearest difference is ads: Tee Time Snipe at none against Open Course's shown. Tee Time Snipe also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Open Course's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks) and review sentiment (95% vs 75%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tee Time Snipe sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.00 per month and Open Course sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tee Time Snipe holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Open Course has 42 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Tee Time Snipe's written reviews are positive against 95% of Open Course's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tee Time Snipe ships an update every 5 weeks, Open Course weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
