# Messame vs Tela

The clearest difference is device support: Tela at 5 against Messame's 2. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Messame sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Tela sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Messame ships an update every 2 months, Tela every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
