# flix vs Fileso

The clearest difference is monetization model: flix at free against Fileso's freemium. flix also leads on iOS requirement (15.5 vs 17.0). Fileso's advantage is review sentiment (96% vs 73%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. flix sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Fileso sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 8, 2026.
