# XyAnonymous vs Surfex VPN

The clearest difference is rating: XyAnonymous at 4.1 against Surfex VPN's 3.5. XyAnonymous also leads on ratings volume (101 vs 17). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. XyAnonymous sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $15.99 per 7 days and Surfex VPN sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

XyAnonymous holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: XyAnonymous has 101 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two.

XyAnonymous ships an update weekly, Surfex VPN every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
