# Compete NG vs The Marit App

The clearest difference is ads: Compete NG at none against The Marit App's shown. Compete NG also leads on ratings volume (30 vs 5). The Marit App's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Compete NG sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and The Marit App sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
