# CompTIA Network+ Prep vs Network+

The clearest difference is update cadence: CompTIA Network+ Prep at every 4 months against Network+'s every 9 months. CompTIA Network+ Prep also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CompTIA Network+ Prep sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Network+ sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
