# Flex vs ArticleQ

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Flex at none against ArticleQ's 1. ArticleQ's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ArticleQ sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Flex asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flex ships an update every 3 months, ArticleQ every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
