# Flex vs Dopamine

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Flex at none against Dopamine's 3. Dopamine's advantage is update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dopamine sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Flex asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flex ships an update every 3 months, Dopamine every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
