# Note Recorder vs ReadMyStrip

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Note Recorder at 100% against ReadMyStrip's 0%. Note Recorder also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). ReadMyStrip's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.3) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Note Recorder sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and ReadMyStrip sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReadMyStrip holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Note Recorder has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Note Recorder's written reviews are positive against 0% of ReadMyStrip's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Note Recorder ships an update fortnightly, ReadMyStrip monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
