# RepeaTimer vs yyAlarm

The clearest difference is ads: yyAlarm at none against RepeaTimer's shown. yyAlarm also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). RepeaTimer's advantage is ratings volume (7 vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for RepeaTimer against 5.0 for yyAlarm. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RepeaTimer has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
