# DrawUp vs Study Companion

The clearest difference is ads: DrawUp at none against Study Companion's shown. DrawUp also leads on ratings volume (6.6K vs 269) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 weeks). Study Companion's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DrawUp sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Study Companion sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for DrawUp against 4.6 for Study Companion. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DrawUp has 6.6K ratings behind it against 269, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 52% of DrawUp's written reviews are positive against 53% of Study Companion's.

DrawUp ships an update every 3 weeks, Study Companion every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
