# Phantolex vs Spell Sense

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Phantolex at none against Spell Sense's 1. Phantolex also leads on review sentiment (84% vs 57%) and ratings volume (100 vs 3). Spell Sense's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spell Sense sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Phantolex asks for nothing beyond the download.

Spell Sense holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Phantolex has 100 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of Phantolex's written reviews are positive against 57% of Spell Sense's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
