# MakerLog vs Text Decode

The clearest difference is update cadence: Text Decode at every 2 weeks against MakerLog's monthly. Text Decode also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MakerLog sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Text Decode sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MakerLog ships an update monthly, Text Decode every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
