# MD vs PaperMemory

The clearest difference is update cadence: PaperMemory at every 3 days against MD's every 6 months. MD's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MD sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and PaperMemory sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MD ships an update every 6 months, PaperMemory every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
