# Merge Fly 3D vs GEARS

The clearest difference is rating: GEARS at 4.7 against Merge Fly 3D's 3.4. GEARS also leads on ratings volume (1K vs 5). Merge Fly 3D's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 11 days) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Merge Fly 3D sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and GEARS sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GEARS holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GEARS has 1K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Merge Fly 3D ships an update every 3 days, GEARS every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
