# Sterop vs Read Romance

Sterop and Read Romance are too close to call on the numbers: across 6 compared parameters — price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.

Both are free to download. Sterop sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Read Romance sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sterop ships an update every 3 weeks, Read Romance fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
