# NovelsReader vs CTP test prep

The clearest difference is review sentiment: CTP test prep at 67% against NovelsReader's 7%. CTP test prep also leads on ads (none vs shown). NovelsReader's advantage is rating (1.4 vs 1.0) and ratings volume (60 vs 2). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NovelsReader sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and CTP test prep sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NovelsReader holds the better App Store score, 1.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NovelsReader has 60 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 7% of NovelsReader's written reviews are positive against 67% of CTP test prep's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NovelsReader ships an update every 3 weeks, CTP test prep every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
