# NovelsReader vs Novelmark

The clearest difference is monetization model: NovelsReader at free with in-app purchases against Novelmark's subscription. Novelmark's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NovelsReader sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Novelmark sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 1.4 for NovelsReader against 1.6 for Novelmark. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 59 and 39 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 7% of NovelsReader's written reviews are positive against 0% of Novelmark's.

NovelsReader ships an update every 3 weeks, Novelmark every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
