# StoneNote vs LinguaDiary

The clearest difference is rating: LinguaDiary at 5.0 against StoneNote's 4.4. LinguaDiary also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). StoneNote's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StoneNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and LinguaDiary sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LinguaDiary holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StoneNote has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

StoneNote ships an update every 10 days, LinguaDiary weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
