# ShareSlice vs Trips Expense

The clearest difference is update cadence: Trips Expense at every 3 days against ShareSlice's every 8 days. ShareSlice's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ShareSlice sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Trips Expense sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ShareSlice ships an update every 8 days, Trips Expense every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
