# Coconote vs Utter

The clearest difference is rating: Coconote at 4.8 against Utter's 3.4. Coconote also leads on ratings volume (17K vs 5) and chart position (#42 vs unranked). Utter's advantage is update cadence (daily vs weekly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coconote sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Utter sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Coconote holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coconote has 17K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Coconote ships an update weekly, Utter daily. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
