# Coconote vs MSC Central

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MSC Central at none against Coconote's 24. MSC Central also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). Coconote's advantage is ratings volume (17K vs 1) and chart position (#47 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coconote sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. MSC Central asks for nothing beyond the download.

MSC Central holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coconote has 17K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
