# ALocker vs Echobell

The clearest difference is ads: Echobell at none against ALocker's shown. Echobell also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). ALocker's advantage is ratings volume (58 vs 3). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ALocker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Echobell sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for ALocker against 4.7 for Echobell. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ALocker has 58 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

ALocker ships an update every 6 weeks, Echobell fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
