# Random vs Randomizer

The clearest difference is update cadence: Randomizer at every 2 months against Random's every 5 months. Randomizer also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Random sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Randomizer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Random ships an update every 5 months, Randomizer every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 11, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
