# CommuteCloud vs TahoeTube

The clearest difference is rating: CommuteCloud at 5.0 against TahoeTube's 4.0. CommuteCloud also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.6). TahoeTube's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CommuteCloud holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TahoeTube has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
