# Tip Screen vs Instaraise

The clearest difference is rating: Tip Screen at 4.6 against Instaraise's 4.1. Tip Screen also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (516 vs 71). Instaraise's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tip Screen sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Instaraise asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tip Screen holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tip Screen has 516 ratings behind it against 71, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Tip Screen's written reviews are positive against 92% of Instaraise's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tip Screen ships an update every 10 days, Instaraise every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
