# Audio vs SonixScript

The clearest difference is rating: Audio at 5.0 against SonixScript's 4.2. Audio also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.4). SonixScript's advantage is ratings volume (36 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Audio sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and SonixScript sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Audio holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SonixScript has 36 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
