# Steel Pan Playground vs Flute Sim

The clearest difference is ads: Steel Pan Playground at none against Flute Sim's shown. Flute Sim's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 91%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Steel Pan Playground sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Flute Sim sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Steel Pan Playground holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 22 and 45 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of Steel Pan Playground's written reviews are positive against 100% of Flute Sim's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Steel Pan Playground ships an update every 3 months, Flute Sim every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
