# ASL vs Boil

The clearest difference is update cadence: ASL at every 6 weeks against Boil's every 8 months. ASL also leads on device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ASL sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Boil sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ASL ships an update every 6 weeks, Boil every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
