# Sidekick vs Notabook

The clearest difference is rating: Notabook at 5.0 against Sidekick's 4.6. Notabook also leads on iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). Sidekick's advantage is ratings volume (10 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sidekick sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Notabook sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notabook holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sidekick has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Sidekick ships an update every 11 days, Notabook weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
