# Live Transcribe vs Instant Transcript

The clearest difference is rating: Instant Transcript at 5.0 against Live Transcribe's 4.7. Instant Transcript also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). Live Transcribe's advantage is ratings volume (12 vs 2) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Live Transcribe sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Instant Transcript sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Instant Transcript holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Live Transcribe has 12 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Live Transcribe ships an update monthly, Instant Transcript every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 7, 2026.
