# Ami vs Chance

The clearest difference is rating: Ami at 4.7 against Chance's 4.0. Ami also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks). Chance's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2). On price, review sentiment, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ami sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Chance asks for nothing beyond the download.

Ami holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ami has 72 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Ami's written reviews are positive against 88% of Chance's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ami ships an update every 2 days, Chance every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
