# Ami vs Projectpal

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ami at every 2 days against Projectpal's fortnightly. Ami also leads on ratings volume (74 vs 10). Projectpal's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Projectpal holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ami has 74 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 85% of Ami's written reviews are positive against 100% of Projectpal's.

Ami ships an update every 2 days, Projectpal fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
