# skipper AI vs Screenguard

The clearest difference is monetization model: Screenguard at free against skipper AI's free with in-app purchases. Screenguard also leads on ratings volume (25 vs 4). skipper AI's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. skipper AI sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month and Screenguard sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
