# Akkooo vs Elixir

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Akkooo at 67% against Elixir's 41%. Elixir's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 4.0) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Elixir holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Elixir has 1.5K ratings behind it against 182, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Akkooo's written reviews are positive against 41% of Elixir's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Akkooo ships an update every 9 days, Elixir every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
